TheFactory was incorporated in 2015 and has since accelerated more than 500+ startups, arranged 24 startup accelerator programs. We have an investment portfolio of 80+ startups and 120+ mentors in our mentor network. Our award-winning GründerAcademy accelerator program is the largest early stage program in Norway.
GründerAcademy - Startup Program
GründerAcademy is Norway’s biggest accelerator program spanning over 12 weeks, twice per year, with between 70-80 startups participating each year. Throughout our programs, entrepreneurs are connected with distinguished business mentors, market experts from multiple verticals, and most importantly, systematic connections with seasoned entrepreneurs and facilitators to accelerate your business. We have notable speakers for our workshops as well as facilitators with experience with completing over 50+ accelerator programs. GründerAcademy is sponsored by SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge and facilitated by TheFactory (Østlandet), Validé (Rogaland), K2 Gründerlab (Agder), and VIS (Vestland).
Sportstech Academy - Accelerator for Nordic sportstech companies
This program is for Nordic sportstech startups seeking funding, acceleration and help with go to market strategies and international expansion. We are open to all types of sportstech, with a particular focus on sportstech that have a POC/proven track record in Norway or the Nordics. The program is brought to you by TheFactory and Igloo Innovation. The format is camp-based, giving you the full benefits of our network as efficiently as possible. Meet our friends along with key sportstech players in Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Stockholm. The program also includes an investor day and a mentor day + workshops related to international scaling.
We define Sportstech broadly as technologies and innovations that stimulate physical activity, motion, health and wellness, athletes performance, sports analytics and competition, clubs and sports industry management, fan engagement and e-sports. Having analyzed innovations in the sector, we have identified six key areas that we see as relevant investment dimensions for the program and TheFactory Sportstech Fund:
