The speakers' bios
Urho Konttori is founder and chief product officer at Varjo. He was the CEO for the first two years of the company. He is a product innovator and manager who has 15 years of experience in designing, engineering and managing large-scale hardware and software projects at Microsoft and Nokia. Fun fact, still codes as hobby and has made his own real time ray tracing engine.
Niko Eiden is a founder and CXO of Varjo. Niko has formerly held top product leadership positions at Microsoft and Nokia. At Nokia, Niko led a product program team in 2006–2007, and together with researchers from Nokia Research Center, his team developed the basis for the optical technology that later became Microsoft Hololens. Niko has a M.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and in his free time likes to fly with a homebuilt airplane.
